It includes the popular sub-neighborhood of Rincon Hill, which was one of San Francisco’s most desirable neighborhoods during the Gold Rush.

Although there are no beaches in South Beach, on the many sunny days, you’ll find residents and visitors alike picnicking along the paved walks and benches that line the bay. Walkers, joggers, and cyclists enjoy the paved trail that skirts the edge, taking in some of the best views to be had in the entire city. Residents who are especially energetic can follow the waterfront all the way to the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge.
